Reigning world champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will not be adding to her medal haul in Budapest this summer.

McLaughlin-Levron announced on Instagram that she had withdrawn from the World Track and Field Championships due to a minor knee injury.

McLaughlin-Levron wrote, "I am sorry to inform that I will have to withdraw from this year's World Championships in Budapest."

“After consulting my doctors and coaches, I have to take care of a minor knee problem,” he said.
