'Rust' Movie to resume filming 18 months after shooting

Alak Baldwin's Rust will resume production in Montana on Thursday.

Prior to this filming was halted 18 months prior to a fatal on-set shooting.

Cinematographer Halina Hutchins was killed when Baldwin fired a live round during rehearsal.

In October 2021, the film's cinematographer Halina Hutchins was killed by live round fire during filming in New Mexico.

Apart from Halina Hutchins, director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident.

Actor Baldwin settled the lawsuit with Matt Hutchins, husband of cinematographer Halina, in October.

“Rust” filming will resume with the same principal actors and director, with Matt Hutchins serving as the film's executive producer.
