Princess Eugenie has announced the birth of a son on her Instagram.

On 30 May the King's niece gave birth to Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank with husband Jack Brooksbank.

She said that the other, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, weighed 7lb 1oz.

The princess said the new baby's names were inspired by "her great-great-grandfather George and my grandfather Ronald".

The 32-year-old princess is the daughter of the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, and granddaughter of the late Queen.
