New Voice Actors for Rick and Morty's Titular Characters in Season 7 Debut  

Season 7 of Rick and Morty features new voice actors replacing Justin Roiland for the lead characters, Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith.

Ian Cardoni now voices Rick and Harry Belden plays Morty.

Earlier this year, Adult Swim announced its decision to recast the voices of Rick, Morty and all other characters.

Who was previously voiced by series creator Justin Roiland. The decision came after Roiland's departure from the show amid allegations of domestic violence.

Those were later dropped and led to ongoing revelations of tension between Roiland and his co-creators on both Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites.

Prior to the official reveal, Adult Swim had stated their intention to cast soundalikes for Rick and Morty as part of the recasting.

In which there were plans to continue production of the show for subsequent seasons without Roiland's involvement. The eighth season has already been written, and the ninth season is in development.

A review of the first two episodes of the new season of Rick and Morty reveals that Justin Roiland's departure has not had much of an impact on the series.
