Messi and Fraser-Pryce win Laureus awards

Lionel Messi was named Laureus Sportsman of the Year at the awards ceremony on Monday.

Sprint champion Shelley-Ann Fraser-Pryce took the top female honour at the awards ceremony.

Lionel Messi also received an award on behalf of the Argentina men's soccer team,

The 35-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward has won the award in 2020, sharing it with Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.

Messi became the first athlete to receive the World Sportsman of the Year award and the World Team of the Year award in the same year.
