Isabeau Levito Makes History with First Grand Prix Win at France GP

Isabeau Levitow, the 16-year-old national champion took her first Grand Prix victory at the Grand Prix de France.

During the competition in France Levitow scored a total of 203.22 points on her two programs.

She won with a comfortable lead of 4.42 points over Nina Pinjaron of Belgium.

Levitow's success was largely attributed to his impressive performance in the clean short program, where he gained 5.1 points.

While Levitow faced some challenges in the free skate including issues with his closing spin and a negatively graded jumping pass.

She compensated with the highest artistic score of 2.72.

Levitow commented humorously on his performance, acknowledging that his spin accident led to a dramatic ending but expressing satisfaction with his strong start.

In particular, Isabeau Levitow's victory is a historic moment for American women's singles figure skating.
