Idris Elba Leads Paramount+ Spinoff 'Knuckles' Trailer: Sonic's New Adventure

Paramount+ unveils the trailer for "Knuckles," a spinoff of the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise, featuring Idris Elba.

"Knuckles" is a blend of live-action and animation, adapted from the popular video game series by Sega.

Elba reprises his role as Knuckles the Echidna, a sidekick of Sonic the Hedgehog, alongside stars like Adam Pally, Ben Schwartz, and Colleen O'Shaughnessey.

The series takes place between the events of "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" and the upcoming "Sonic the Hedgehog 3."

"Knuckles" follows Knuckles as he mentors Wade, portrayed by Adam Pally, in the ways of the Echidna warrior, while facing off against a villainous former Robotnik employee, played by Rory McCann.

Alongside Elba and Pally, the cast includes Tika Sumpter, Stockard Channing, Edi Patterson, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor, Julian Barratt, Cary Elwes, Christopher Lloyd, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel.

The series is created by John Whittington and Toby Ascher and will consist of six episodes.

"Knuckles" is scheduled to premiere on April 26, providing fans with an exciting new addition to the Sonic universe.
