Damian Lillard wife Kayla Hanson filed for divorce – as it happened

The NBA All-Star filed for divorce from his wife of two years, Kayla Hanson.

Lillard, 33, filed the petition in Clackamas County Circuit Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" in the relationship.

Lillard and Kayla Hanson's separation caused "their marriage to irreparably break down."

The divorce filing alleges that Hanson, 31, moved out of the family's Portland home in December 2022.

The couple met at Weber State University in Utah and were together for 10 years before tying the knot in Santa Barbara, California on September 4, 2021.

They have three children, son Damien Jr., 5, and twins Kali and Kali, 2.

People has reached out to Lillard and Lillard's attorney Shawn Menashe for comment.

Lillard was traded to Milwaukee a week earlier, on September 27, in a blockbuster move for the NBA.
