Uzo Aduba known for her role in “Orange is the New Black,” shared the delightful news of becoming a mother. At 42, she introduced her first child a baby girl named Adaiba Lee Nonyem to her 2.2 million Instagram followers expressing profound love and gratitude for her daughter.

In her Instagram post the Emmy and SAG Award winner expressed overwhelming emotion, saying, “My daughter. I have never fallen in love so quickly in my entire life.” He expressed his heartfelt sentiments while acknowledging the blessing of having Adaiba Lee Noneem as a part of his life.

Aduba and her husband writer-director Robert Sweeting, had announced their pregnancy in June, eagerly anticipating the journey into parenthood. In her recent post she beautifully embraced the complexities of motherhood acknowledging its worthiness despite the challenges.

The post was flooded with congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities like Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Lupita Nyong’o, Reese Witherspoon, Rashida Jones, Chelsea Handler and America Ferrera, expressing their joy and well-wishes for the new mother.

However a representative for Aduba declined to provide further comments when approached by The Times on Friday. It’s undoubtedly a joyous moment for Aduba and her husband as they embrace this new phase of life.
