The trailer reveals a shape-shifting, gravelly-voiced parrot as the ominous messenger delivering a message to Louis-Dreyfus about her terminally ill daughter, played by Lola Petticrew. The film explores the struggles of a mother coping with her daughter’s impending fate.
Lola Petticrew, known for her role in the 2022 drama “She Said” plays the terminally ill girl, and Arinzé Kene provides the voice for Death. The trailer features poignant moments with Louis-Dreyfus expressing the difficulty of imagining life without her daughter.
Written and directed by Daina Oniunas-Pusic, “Tuesday” marks Pusic’s feature-length debut. Although an official release date is yet to be announced the film was showcased at the Telluride Film Festival in the previous fall.
Apart from “Tuesday” Julia Louis-Dreyfus, known for her recent roles in Netflix’s “You People” and “You Hurt My Feelings” is set to reprise her role as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in the MCU film “Thunderbolts” scheduled to hit theaters in 2025.
