Netflix has unveiled character posters for “The Gentlemen” a forthcoming series based on Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name. The posters offer a close-up look at the main characters portrayed by Theo James, Giancarlo Esposito, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Vinnie Jones and Joely Richardson. Set to debut in approximately three weeks, the series introduces a new storyline within the world of drugs, espionage and opulence.

Ritchie the filmmaker behind the project praises the television format for allowing him to delve deeper into “The Gentlemen” universe compared to traditional feature films. He expressed his fondness for long-form storytelling, hinting at future television projects.

The series follows Eddie Horniman inheriting his father’s estate, only to discover its ties to a marijuana empire. As he navigates Britain’s criminal underworld to protect his family, Eddie finds himself increasingly entangled in a life of crime.

The cast includes Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito and others. Ritchie serves as an executive producer and creator, directing the first two episodes and co-writing alongside Matthew Read. The series is set to premiere on Netflix on March 7.
