Dakota Johnson to Host Second “SNL” Show of 2024 with Musical Guest Justin Timberlake

Dakota Johnson is set to host the second “SNL” show of 2024, joined by musical guest Justin Timberlake. This marks Johnson’s second time hosting the NBC late-night show taking the stage on January 27, just before the release of her new movie “Madame Web” in theaters on February 14.

Timberlake’s appearance will be his fifth solo musical guest performance on “SNL” returning after a decade since his last stage appearance on December 21, 2013.

The announcement comes after the first new episode of “SNL” in 2024 on January 20, hosted by “Saltburn” and “Priscilla” star Jacob Elordi making his hosting debut. “Mean Girls” star and pop sensation Renée Rapp also debuted as a musical guest during the episode.

“SNL” is scheduled to air an original episode on February 3, with guest announcements yet to come.

The show returned from hiatus for its Season 49 premiere on October 14, hosted by “SNL” alum Pete Davidson, garnering 4.8 million viewers a 19% increase from the previous season’s 2022 premiere.

Former cast member Kate McKinnon made her hosting debut on December 16, reuniting with “SNL” alums Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig for the holiday episode.

Other fall hosts included five-time host Emma Stone, Bad Bunny, Nate Bargatze, Jason Momoa and Timothée Chalamet. Bad Bunny also served as a musical guest for his episode, with additional musical guests such as Ice Spice the Foo Fighters, Tate McRae and Boygenius.

“SNL” airs on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET and streams live on Peacock at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT. All previous seasons of “SNL” are available for streaming on Peacock.

“Saturday Night Live” created and executive produced by Lorne Michaels, is produced in association with Broadway Video.
