Christmas Eve: The 64th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration at The Music Center

The Music Center, renowned as L.A.’s prominent hub for performing arts has unveiled the lineup of performers set to grace the stage for the 64th annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration. This cherished and free holiday extravaganza a staple in Los Angeles’ festive calendar since 1959, promises to deliver a unique and exceptional experience.

 

 

Christmas Eve: The 64th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration at The Music Center

 

Christmas Eve in the Southland will be observed with Masses, services and the 64th annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration at The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Archbishop José H. Gomez is set to preside over a 10 p.m. Mass in English on Christmas Eve at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. The service will be preceded by Christmas carols with the cathedral’s choir at 9:30 p.m.

Multiple Masses are scheduled, including English-language Masses at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., and a family Mass at 4 p.m. featuring the cathedral’s children’s choir.

Streaming for the 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Masses will be available at facebook.com/olacathedral and youtube.com/olacathedral.

On Christmas Day, there will be a 12:30 p.m. Spanish Mass led by the Spanish-language choir and English-language Masses at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Christmas Day Masses will be broadcast live on various platforms including the ABC7 Los Angeles app, Localish Network and cable channels.

The annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration, running from 3-6 p.m., will feature multicultural performances by 23 music and dance ensembles at The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. This event will be televised live and streamed online.

The celebration will host various performances, including the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles and the Klezmer-Rock band Mostly Kosher, along with community-based ensembles and choirs.

Admission to the event is free, but seating is on a first-come first-served basis. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., and parking is free in The Music Center garage.

The event will be hosted by opera singer Suzanna Guzmán and actor/model/disabilities advocate Danny J. Gomez.
