Argentina will host the U-20 World Cup 2023, replacing Indonesia.
which was financially shelved by FIFA, the world football governing body has announced.
The FIFA U20 World Cup will run from 20 May to 11 June 2023. There will be six groups of four teams each.
Argentina has previously hosted the tournament in 2001. Now it will happen for the second time in 2023.
Argentina will compete in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in place of Indonesia.
Argentina is regarded as the most beloved successful nation in the history of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Argentina has won the tournament six times, most recently at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said “FIFA is pleased that Argentina will host the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023”.
