After Joining Laugh Factory’s Thanksgiving Event, Tiffany Haddish Arrested in Beverly Hills for Suspected DUI.
Lt. Chris Coulter of the Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed that Haddish is facing DUI charges after being found asleep behind the wheel on Beverly Drive around 5:45 a.m., TMZ reported. Fortunately no injuries were reported.
Actress Tiffany Haddish Arrested on Suspected DUI: Recent Incident Spurs Controversy
Tiffany Haddish was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence as confirmed by the Beverly Hills Police Department.
Officers received a call at 5:45 a.m. PST and subsequently took Haddish into custody shortly after. Reports from TMZ suggest that while there was no accident Haddish was discovered asleep in her parked vehicle with the engine running.
CNN has reached out to Haddish’s representatives for comment on the matter.
It’s been reported that Haddish had performed at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood the prior night, partaking in the comedy club’s 43rd annual Thanksgiving feast for the community.
This isn’t the first time the comedic actress has faced such allegations. In 2022, she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Peachtree City, Georgia, after falling asleep at the wheel. Haddish addressed the incident during on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”
During her conversation with Fallon, Haddish humorously remarked “I can say this, Jimmy, I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man a good man. And she God went to be ahead and sent me four in a uniform. I wasn’t expecting it.”
She continued, “I’ve got a really great talented lawyer and we’re gonna work it out. And I’ve got to refine my prayers to God a little better.”
Haddish, recognized for her roles in various television shows and notably in the film “Girls Trip” is predominantly celebrated for her stand-up comedy.
