Pros marked star forward Aja Wilson to a 2-year expansion this time.

The 26-year-old drove Las Vegas to its most memorable WNBA title last season.

“Eja Wilson has signed a two-year extension with the Las Vegas Aces,” the team announced Friday.

“We are excited to have Aja in an Aces uniform for the next two years,” Aces coach Becky Hyman said in a statement.

He said “the impact she has on her teammates and everyone around her knows how special she is.

Wilson led the team first WNBA championship and helped the Aces post a 14-1 record this year.

“I’m happy to still be in Las Vegas and playing at a high level, winning games,” he said.

Wilson was the No. 1 pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft out of South Carolina and went on to win the Rookie of the Year award that season. Apart from this, Wilson was the league MVP in 2020 and 2022.

At the end of the year, Wilson averaged 19.1 points and 8.4 rebounds. This season his numbers have increased slightly to 19.4 points and nine boards per game.

With Wilson returning to the Aces until 2025, the team will be joined by fellow stars Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray.

For Wilson’s 2024 season, a regular max contract starts at $208,000 and a supermax starts at $241,000.
